Open Question: How to get a girl to like you?

We are freshman. Have no classes together, arent friends, yet. We have the same lunch and are usually by each other in line. I dont talk to her in line because i think it will be to akward. I got my friend to ask her if she wanted to go rock climbing with me, my friend, her friend and her. She couldnt go cuz she had to babysit. What should i do, i dont want to make it akward.
