Open Question: Does anyone know what this dream might mean?

28 July 2010, 10:11 pm

Okay. I know I might want to be in the army. But does anyone know what this dream might mean? It's a little lengthy, but it's really bugging me for some reason. So I was sitting in a big room at a restaurant that was supposedly my family's. Then this man, a priest supposedly from my church, came in. He walked over to me and told me to pack my bags. He said that in the morning I would be going to a special camp. So he left and I got ready for a dance at my school wondering what he meant. I went to the dance in a haze, not really knowing what was going on. The only thing I remembered was dancing with my friend, whom I apparently liked. Then I went home and went to sleep. When I woke up the priest was back and he told me to hurry and pack my bags. I didn't know what to pack so I just threw a bunch of my stuff in a couple of bags. I let the priest shuffle me out the door and into his car. I slept through the whole ride and woke up at a field with some wooden buildings on it. I yawned and got out of the car where I was immediately met by a lady with a clipboard. She told me to get my bags and led me to a building where I set them down. Then she brought me to a building that was supposedly a cafeteria. I ate lunch next to a guy that I recognized. We talked for a minute before I left. I wandered around the buildings, waiting for whatever we were supposed to do. After a while, a man with a bullhorn came out and called everyone to a covered area. He told us that we were accepted to an army training camp. Me and a couple of other kids groaned. The man laughed and told us to get out bags because it was time to go to the actual camp. So we all grabbed our bags and piled in to a bus, which amazingly we all fit it. Now that I looked around there were only twenty or so of us, more than half of which were guys. I watched the field go by as we made our way down a dirt road to the camp. We finally made it and I saw training fields and low buildings scattered across the area of the Vehicle Assembly Building at the Kennedy Space Center. I got kind of excited when we stopped and we all got out. The camp staff brought us to the "barracks" as they called it. We picked our beds, me ending up alone in the back corner. Then we were all filed out to get uniforms. We got our outfits that were actual army uniforms, just smaller. By the time that was all done and we ate dinner it was time to go to sleep. I went to sleep and dreamed about my friend, the one I danced with at the school dance. I woke up to a weird alarm, it was barely light outside. One of the female staff came in and told us to get dressed. I got dressed self-consciously and followed the other girls out. We ate breakfast, said the pledge, and met with the boys out at one of the training fields. It was an obstacle course. While one of the male staff told us what we were supposed to do, I was analyzing the field instead of listening to him. They lined us up according to how well they thought we would do. Naturally, I was near the back. They let everyone go in one minute intervals. When it was my turn to go I started off at a jog and jumped over a line of bushes. After variously climbing over things, crawling under things, and running around things, I had passed two of the people that were ahead of me. I got to a rope that we had to use to swing over a pool of water. The person before me had fallen when they went to jump to the other side. I grabbed the rope and swung across with ease. After that there was a rock wall, there was no harness for it. I grinned and eagerly began climbing the wall. About three-quarters of the way up I felt myself slipping, but I held on and managed to push up to the next rock. When I got to the top I crawled through a tunnel and jumped about ten feet to the ground. I made it to the end and smiled before getting a drink of water. That's where I woke up. Anyone have any ideas what it might mean?... Read More »
